A public consultation has been initiated regarding the Brazilian National Foreign Trade Strategy. The National Foreign Trade Strategy, crafted by the Chamber of Foreign Commerce (CAMEX), is a document that establishes the federal government’s strategic guidelines and guidelines on foreign trade issues. It enhances predictability and security for the business sector and investors.
The strategy involves long-term planning and is structured into five thematic axes, which include initiatives that will be implemented and monitored over the next four years, namely: (i) Export Competitiveness; (ii) Economic Integration; (iii) Debureaucratization and Trade Facilitation; (iv) Trade and Sustainability; and (v) Combating Unfair and Illegal Trade Practices.
The National Foreign Trade Strategy aims to accelerate the country’s qualified international insertion process, boosting economic productivity and competitiveness, fostering job creation, and raising the income of Brazilian citizens.
The public consultation is open to all of society and aims to gather their contributions to prepare the National Foreign Trade Strategy. Contributions can be submitted until December 6, 2023, using the electronic form.
